1. Controller and overview

This website is designed to collect as little data as possible: it contains no forms, no user accounts, no tracking or analytics tools and no advertising cookies. We only process personal data to the extent necessary to run the website, respond to your enquiries and schedule appointments.

2. Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by Vercel (Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA). Vercel operates a global content delivery network, so your request may be handled by servers outside the EU. When you visit the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data in server log files: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and operating system.

The purpose is to deliver the website, ensure its security and stability and defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functional website). The data is stored only for as long as necessary for these purposes. The hosting provider processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. For data transfers to the USA, we rely on appropriate safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR, for example the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

3. Cookies and local storage

This website does not set tracking or marketing cookies. In your browser we only store your choice in the cookie notice (the “cookie-consent” entry in your browser's local storage) so that the notice does not appear on every visit. This entry contains no personal data.

This storage is technically necessary (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG); further processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If we introduce optional services in future (for example audience measurement), we will do so only with your prior consent under § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can change your choice or withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, or delete the entry in your browser.

4. Fonts and external content

The fonts used (Playfair Display, Inter and Montserrat) are served from our own server. No connection is made to the servers of font providers such as Google. We do not embed other external content (maps, videos, social media plugins).

5. Booking appointments via Calendly

To book a demo, we link to the appointment booking service Calendly (Calendly, Inc., 115 E Main St., Ste A1B, Buford, GA 30518, USA). The website does not embed Calendly: as long as you do not click the link, no data is transferred to Calendly. Clicking opens Calendly in a new tab, from which point Calendly's own privacy notice applies.

When you book, we and Calendly process the data you enter (for example name, email address, chosen time slot and any free-text information) to organise the appointment and contact you about it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures at your request) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Calendly may transfer data to the USA; according to Calendly, it relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. More information: calendly.com/legal/privacy-notice.

6. Contacting us

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details (for example name, contact details and the content of your enquiry) to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data once it is no longer needed for its purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Recipients of data

Recipients of your data are the hosting provider Vercel and, if you book an appointment, Calendly. Your data is not passed on to any other third parties unless we are legally required to do so.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).

To exercise your rights, write to kontakt@sharkcall.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR); for our registered office in Saxony this is the Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte.

9. Data security

This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection and runs with strict security headers (including a Content Security Policy).

10. Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy when the website, the services used or the legal situation change. The version published here applies.
